At an exclusive event at The Radio Club in Mumbai, Envision Energy debuted the Recovery-E, India’s first race car made completely of e-waste. With the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, the event, which was arranged in association with EARTHDAY.ORG, represented a singular fusion of art, sustainability, and technology. The “Recover-E” vehicle serves as a metaphor, emphasising the enormous potential for converting trash into something useful.
The automobile, which ranks first in India and second worldwide, emphasises environmental stewardship while showcasing circularity in design and manufacturing. The vehicle, which was designed and constructed from e-waste, which includes tablets, laptops, and cell phones, not only demonstrates engineering creativity but also the urgent need to address India’s mounting e-waste problem. “This project is an extension of Envision’s commitment to creating a sustainable future,” stated RPV Prasad, Managing Director, Envision Energy India. We hope to demonstrate the need for technology and sustainability to coexist by turning garbage into creativity. The Recover-E Car is a movement that aims to provide more environmentally friendly solutions for the future, not just a notion.
“This project serves as a daring declaration by Envision to emphasise its dedication to a sustainable future. The Recover-E vehicle serves as a metaphor for the expanding e-waste issue and potential solutions. It serves as a reminder that sustainability and creativity can coexist and that everyone can contribute to the development of a circular future,” James Mercer, Commercial Director at Envision Racing, continued.
