Providing integrated services in nutrition, early childhood education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment, Nand Ghar is Vedanta’s flagship social impact effort. It is a countrywide programme that aims to modernise Anganwadis into thriving hubs of community development. More than 3.5 lakh families from 15 states are being engaged in a month-long campaign by Nand Ghar and the Department of Women and Child Development to commemorate Poshan Maah 2025. The campaign’s subject is “Poshan Se Pragati”, and it seeks to tackle rural India’s malnutrition problem by increasing public understanding of the issue, highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, and urging rural communities to implement these choices.
Nutritional therapies at Nand Ghar are based on a three-pronged strategy. First, there’s direct nutrition support, which brings essential government nutrition programmes to families at the grassroots level and guarantees that children in rural India get a healthy start in life by means of fortified supplements and inventions like Nutri Bars and protein shakes. Second, raising awareness and sensitivity in the community so that parents and carers can be better equipped to support their children’s health and development through training, counselling, and growth monitoring; and third, creating welcoming community networks where families can learn from one another and embrace sustainable, simple nutrition practices that make use of indigenous ingredients and foods grown nearby. As a third point, we can improve the tracking of children’s growth, the delivery of timely support, and the introduction of novel food solutions that change everyday diet through the integration of technology and partnerships that connect communities with modern tools and trustworthy institutions.
When a child enrols in Nand Ghar, they are eligible for a variety of benefits, including improved nutrition, early childhood education, and health monitoring. They build a solid basis for long-term growth and holistic development through this comprehensive support, which helps them get healthier, concentrate better, and be more ready for formal schooling.
