According to a news statement, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, met with the Indo-Australian team during their visit to J&K. Interestingly, the delegation had met with LG Manoj Sinha the day before. During their visit to Dr Andrabi, the team headed by Sajid K. Saiyed, Chairman of the Bharat CSR Network, addressed a variety of suggestions under the Corporate Social Responsibility activities (CSR) programme that aim to coordinate efforts with the Board about unique public welfare activities.
We had a thorough discussion with the chairperson of the Waqf Board about a number of feasible and promising initiatives pertaining to the Infra Development, Technological Association, Sustainable Development initiatives, Educational Initiatives, and Rehabilitation plans. Dr Darakhshan expressed gratitude to the delegation for their outstanding suggestions that will benefit the general public. She gave the delegation her word that these suggestions would be reviewed at the full board meetings and that choices would be made with the feasibility of the ground-level work in mind. She also thanked the chairman of the delegation and other participants for recognising the board’s accomplishments over the previous three years. Sajid K. Saiyed expressed gratitude to Andrabi for sharing her thoughts on the ideas and stated that he and his team were eager to collaborate with the Board for J&K public welfare.
