Ekatva: Strengthening Transgender Lives through Skill Development and Mental Wellness was introduced in the state on 6th October by HLL Lifecare Ltd (HLL), which is part of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Through certified skill training, entrepreneurship support, and mental health interventions, this CSR effort seeks to empower transgender individuals. In collaboration with the Nadi Foundation, Ekatva is being carried out by HLL Management Academy (HMA), the educational and social development division of HLL, with the goal of establishing means of subsistence and mental health for transgender communities throughout Kerala.
Thiruvananthapuram’s Kappiness Mental Health Café and Therapeutic Centre hosted the inauguration and orientation. Following interactive discussions with beneficiaries, sessions on livelihood opportunities and vocational training were also conducted.
