In addition to achieving impressive commercial growth and surpassing a market valuation of more than Rs 1 lakh crore, Info Edge (India) Limited strengthened its reputation as a socially conscious corporate entity. Info Edge invested Rs 15.33 crores on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in FY 2024–2025, reaching over 10 lakh people throughout India through consistent investments in livelihoods, education, and inclusion. This investment underlines Info Edge’s conviction that technology-driven prosperity must benefit those who continue to live on the outskirts of society, going beyond corporate compliance. Quality education, job creation, and social inclusion—especially for women, young people, and people with disabilities—were the main focusses of the company’s CSR activities in FY25.
Based on its average profits over the previous three fiscal years, Info Edge determined its statutory CSR requirement for FY25 to be Rs 16.69 crores under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.
The company’s direct project execution and administrative costs amounted to Rs 15.33 crores, or more than 91% of its overall CSR commitment. In complete accordance with Section 135(6) of the Act, the remaining Rs 1.36 crores was deposited to a designated Unspent CSR Account after being determined to be unspent because of continuing multi-year projects. Info Edge’s primary CSR pillar was education, which closely matched SDG 4: Quality Education. The business backed programs aimed at enhancing the educational achievements of disadvantaged kids and young people.
Info Edge made investments in first-generation learners’ core literacy and numeracy programs through collaborations with groups like Saarthi Education and the Language and Learning Foundation (LLF). Both systems prioritise comprehensive child development in addition to academic learning, enhancing teacher effectiveness and guaranteeing quantifiable learning outcomes in environments with limited resources.
Understanding that digital fluency is the key to contemporary education, Info Edge gave Khan Academy India Rs 70 lakhs to fund free, tech-based regional language instruction.
Furthermore, by contributing Rs 1.90 crores to The International Foundation for Research & Education, the company strengthened research and higher education programs that connect academics and business.
Together, these initiatives are helping Info Edge create an educational environment that fosters competence, innovation, and curiosity—qualities crucial for India’s workforce of the future. Info Edge’s CSR portfolio shows a strong focus on social inclusion and livelihood creation in addition to education. The business collaborated with NGOs to support job creation, entrepreneurship, and skill development for underserved groups in society, in keeping with SDGs 8 (Decent Work) and 10 (Reducing Inequalities). Info Edge partnered with the Magic Bus India Foundation to fund skill-training initiatives for young people that would improve their employability in the service industry. These initiatives provide employment possibilities, particularly in the retail, logistics, and hospitality industries, to young people from urban low-income communities.
