Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has expanded its corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding to Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, a non-profit organisation devoted to the care of the elderly and terminally sick, in a major move to boost the city’s palliative and geriatric care ecosystem. As part of the Integrated Facility for Palliative and Geriatric Care Services, the Bank’s CSR contribution made it possible to build and furnish the Level-1 C-Block, a complete inpatient wing. Since its founding in 2012, the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation has led the way in offering inpatient care, home visits, and outpatient clinics to elderly patients and those with terminal conditions.
The Foundation’s capabilities and reach have been enhanced by the new integrated building, which spans 1.08 acres and serves as a centre of excellence for geriatric and palliative care training and treatment. 16 inpatient rooms and two nursing stations under Block-C have been made possible in particular by KVB’s CSR support.
These facilities will offer specialised services like geriatric care, adult & paediatric palliative care, respite care, transitional care, rehabilitative care, day care, dementia residential care, end-of-life care, and units specifically designated for male and female patients. This project is a component of KVB Aarogya, the bank’s premier healthcare CSR programme, which aims to enhance underprivileged communities’ well-being, access to high-quality medical facilities, and preventive health measures. “With our CSR investments, we aim to touch lives meaningfully by supporting inclusive and humane healthcare initiatives,” remarked Mr Ramesh Babu, Managing Director & CEO, Karur Vysya Bank, in reference to the effort. Our partnership with the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation is a testament to KVB’s dedication to healthcare access and compassionate community development, particularly for the elderly and vulnerable. Dr N. S. Raju, Managing Trustee of the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, echoed this feeling when he stated, “KVB’s prompt assistance has been crucial in realising our vision.”
More patients will be able to get medical and emotional support during their most vulnerable times with respect, compassion, and comfort thanks to this integrated institution. This collaboration serves as a reminder that empathy multiplies impact when it is shared. The chairman of the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, Dr G. Sambasiva Rao, conveyed his sincere appreciation and praised Karur Vysya Bank Ltd for their support of the foundation’s admirable mission to assist the elderly and those suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The foundation will be able to reach more people who require specialised geriatric and palliative health care thanks to the bank’s substantial contribution through their CSR project. The opening of the new facility’s services will signal a significant advancement in Andhra Pradesh’s palliative healthcare system.
