Through targeted CSR initiatives in Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh, Ambuja Cements, the ninth-largest building materials solutions company in the world and a member of the diverse Adani Portfolio, continues to improve rural health and nutrition. Implemented in 13 villages, the integrated programme has enhanced convergence with local health systems and enabled communities to embrace healthier habits.
Ambuja Cements held nutrition demonstration workshops in all villages during Poshan Pakhwada (Nutrition Month), reaching over 250 people, including nursing mothers and teenage females. Furthermore, Anganwadi workers received training on the Poshan Tracker app to improve digital monitoring and planning, and 366 home visits offered tailored advice on nutrition for mothers and children. 123 homes received kitchen garden seeds in order to encourage families to cultivate vegetables and herbs for better nutrition and to boost dietary diversity. 34 teenage girls were checked for anaemia and sickle cell disease at a health camp in Rawan village, which also provided nutritional supplements and counselling. Over 600 villages were reached by a community-wide awareness campaign that reinforced preventative health practices on World No Tobacco Day through interactive sessions and mobile vans.
Ambuja Cements keeps enhancing rural health resilience and fostering sustainable well-being throughout its operational regions by emphasising community empowerment and system-level integration.
