Truhome Finance, in collaboration with Utthaan NGO and DocOnline, announced the beginning of the “Screening the Unscreened” campaign, a groundbreaking move to provide underprivileged communities with preventive, inexpensive, and easily accessible healthcare. Thousands of villagers who lack or have limited access to basic healthcare services will be reached by the project’s approximately 80 mobile health camps spread across many districts of Rajasthan. With an AUM of more than Rs 19,500 crores, a branch network of more than 180 branches spread across 16 Indian states, and more than 4,500 workers, Truhome Finance is one of the country’s top providers of affordable housing finance. Truhome offers home loans to people who have trouble getting official credit, particularly self-employed people and small business owners who frequently don’t have a lot of paperwork or traditional proof of income. Focusing on cash-salaried employees and unofficial business owners, Truhome Finance offers straightforward, inclusive, and less documented lending options to assist people in realising their aspirations of becoming homeowners.
Through a specially equipped Mobile Screening Van, the programme aims to provide primary healthcare and preventive services directly to disadvantaged villages. A dedicated medical team consisting of two phlebotomists, a doctor, an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and a chemist staffs each van. The camps will use cutting-edge point-of-care equipment to do blood tests and other diagnostic procedures. In addition to prescription drugs, patients will have follow-up appointments with their doctors regarding any symptoms or lingering medical conditions.
To ensure that patients are guided through their treatment journey and that no case is left unfinished, the platform goes one step further by incorporating online physician consultations once the diagnostic reports are ready. Early detection, prompt action, and treatment continuation are guaranteed by the innovative hybrid paradigm of in-person and digital healthcare. Good Health & Wellbeing (SDG 3), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) are just a few of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that this programme directly supports. According to Amit Bhatia, President of Truhome Finance, Truhome considers access to healthcare to be just as important as access to funding. Through this programme, the brand is improving rural communities by facilitating prompt medical attention and early detection. The company wants to create communities that are healthier and more empowered.
