A new 128-slice CT scanner will be donated to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) as part of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s (HAL) corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.Installation of the SOMATOM CT scanner will take place at KGMU’s Multi-speciality Orthopaedics Block. Low-dose radiation, dual-energy imaging, AI-assisted workflow, and quick trauma scanning are all features of the scanner. Doctors say it will improve emergency care, neurology, cardiology, cancer, and orthopaedic diagnostic facilities.
In addition to prominent officials like M Satyanarayana, the CEO of HAL Accessories Complex, Lucknow; KK Bhat, the general manager of HAL Lucknow; and SS Chandel, the general manager (HR), Accessories Complex, Lucknow, DK Sunil, the chairman and managing director of HAL, would be present during the inauguration.
