In celebration of the 49th anniversary of the HCL Group, the HCLFoundation, the corporate social responsibility division of HCLTech, planted 49,000 saplings around the main Indian cities of Noida, Nagpur, Pune, Bengaluru, and Lucknow. Employees of HCLTech, their families, nonprofit partners, women’s collectives, and community people actively participated in the massive campaign, demonstrating a shared dedication to sustainability and environmental preservation.
“This plantation drive is a potent manifestation of our environmental care as we commemorate 49 years of innovation and influence. With 73,000 acres of land restored, 107 billion litres of water gathered, and more than 3.2 million saplings planted, we reaffirm our conviction that technology and sustainability must coexist in order to foster not only progress but also a healthy world and resilient communities,” stated Dr Nidhi Pundhir, SVP, Global CSR, HCLTech, and Director, HCLFoundation.
She further expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the firm’s efforts to create a greener future. The HCLFoundation’s long-term environmental initiatives, which emphasise extensive afforestation, water conservation, and land restoration to provide long-lasting ecological and community effects, are expanded upon by the plantation drive.
