The 2nd National Conference and Exhibition on Corporate Social Responsibility (NCCSR 2025) took place in New Delhi from October 6–7, 2025, at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), which is part of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. With the topic “Leveraging CSR Excellence for Tribal Development”, the conference provided a leading national forum for fostering cooperation, discussion, and creativity in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) space.
With a focus on sustainable tribal development, NCCSR 2025, which is organised by IICA’s School of Business Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), and the Department of Public Enterprises, aimed to bring India’s CSR movement into line with the country’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Senior government representatives, business executives, CSR practitioners, and development specialists gathered for the two-day conference to talk about how to incorporate CSR into India’s strategy for equitable growth.
Prominent dignitaries attended the event, including the UN Resident Coordinator for India, the Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises, the Secretaries of the Ministries of Corporate Affairs, Tribal Affairs, and DoNER, the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, and the Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways.
Dr Garima Dadhich, Head of IICA’s School of Business Environment, directly lead the conference, which was sponsored by Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh, Director General & CEO of IICA. An extension of IICA’s yearly celebration of CSR Day on October 2nd, which honours Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of trusteeship and moral business practices, is the NCCSR 2025. The Gandhian idea that businesses have a moral obligation to assist society in ways other than maximising profits is supported by this tradition.
IICA highlighted its goal of establishing a responsible, just, and inclusive business ecosystem by observing CSR Day in close conjunction with Gandhi Jayanti. This ensures that corporate actions have a significant impact on nation-building. The conference’s subject, “Leveraging CSR Excellence for Tribal Development”, is to highlight CSR initiatives that improve tribal communities via digital inclusion, healthcare, education, skill development, and sustainable livelihood programmes.
NCCSR 2025 aimedto accelerate tribal-led development by bringing together government programmes, business strategies, and indigenous knowledge systems.
