With the goal of establishing the state as a global centre for workforce innovation and skill development excellence, the Karnataka Skill Development Corp. will organise the inaugural Bengaluru Skill Summit 2025 from November 4–6 at The Lalit Ashok in Bengaluru.
The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood is organising the event, which will centre on “Workforce 2030: Scale, Systems, Synergy,” which reflects the state’s plan to increase employment possibilities, strengthen skill systems, and foster stakeholder engagement.
In the presence of Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and Minister of Skill Development Sharanaprakash R. Patil, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will officially open the summit.
German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann, Mauritius Minister of Labour Muhammad Reza Cassam Uteem, and Ashutosh Gupta, Managing Director for India and Asia-Pacific at Coursera, are among the international visitors. There will be 50 exhibitors, 100 presenters, and over 3,000 attendees at the summit. NITI Aayog CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, Global Energy Alliance Chair Ravi Venkatesan, Mindtree co-founder Subroto Bagchi, and Biocon Biologics HR chief Naveen Narayanan are among the speakers.
Sessions will emphasise the importance of inclusiveness, innovation, and digital transformation in developing a workforce with the necessary skills for international markets. “Convergence of Education, Skills & Industry for a Trillion USD Economy by 2032” will be the main topic of a crucial session on November 5. Ministers M. B. Patil, Priyank Kharge, M. C. Sudhakar, and Sharanaprakash Patil will be present, along with business leaders.
The topic of discussion will be how India’s economic growth might be accelerated by coordinating skill development and education with industrial growth.
The “Kaushalya Karnataka Awards”, which honour institutional and corporate achievements in inclusive workforce growth, and Skillathon 2025, a nationwide innovation challenge for students, will be featured at the summit.
Furthermore, the Skill Expo Pavilion will showcase EdTech solutions and state-of-the-art training systems. Networking sessions, policy roundtables, and masterclasses are also available to participants. “Karnataka Vaibhava”, a cultural exhibition honouring the state’s legacy, will mark the event’s conclusion.
