Under its “Kia Social Contributions” programme, Kia India has started two noteworthy CSR projects in Hindupur, Anantapur, and Kodigenahalli, marking a major stride towards community development and youth empowerment. More than 650 people in the area stand to gain from these programmes, which support educational infrastructure and skill development.
At the depots in Hindupur and Anantapur, Kia India has started a Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving training programme in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Department (APSRTD) and Sambhav Foundation. In order to improve their employability, the programme will teach 352 jobless youths certified driving techniques, soft skill development, and job placement support.
Chief Administrative Officer Kabdong Lee of Kia India commented on the programme, saying, “This initiative is about more than just driving skills—it’s about driving change.” We take pride in giving young people the resources they need to direct their own lives. At the same time, Kia India started upgrading the Andhra Pradesh Residential Junior College’s facilities in Kodigenahalli (Parigi Mandal). Over 300 students will benefit from the project, which is being carried out in partnership with United Way of Hyderabad and will enhance classroom, dining, and sanitary facilities with the goal of raising student attendance and retention.
