Mahindra Finance strengthened its flagship CSR program, Dhan Samvad, in partnership with Plan International (India Chapter) to bring meaningful change to communities. Leveraging Mahindra Finance’s grassroots expertise and Plan International’s result-oriented training approach, this partnership addresses the gap in financial literacy while fostering long-term behavioural and digital empowerment.
Nilima De Silva Dalvi, Vice President and Head of CSR at Mahindra Finance, said that Dhan Samvad is built on the belief that financial literacy and digital inclusion are essential for driving sustainable development.
“Our objective is to enable communities to avail the benefits of social welfare schemes and promote their economic growth,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Asif, Executive Director of Plan International (India Chapter), remarked that the partnership with Mahindra Finance has provided an opportunity to implement targeted and result-oriented financial literacy solutions that are showing a widespread impact. Through this collaboration, they are empowering gig workers and small entrepreneurs to enhance their financial understanding and engage confidently with the evolving digital and financial ecosystem.
This initiative has also played a crucial role in facilitating public access to government welfare schemes such as, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, e-Shram, Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
