In partnership with Yuva Unstoppable, the PwC India Foundation initiated a project in Naushera, Rajouri District, Jammu & Kashmir, with the goal of improving communities by repairing vital housing infrastructure and re-establishing livelihoods. A youth-led NGO called Yuva Unstoppable empowers underprivileged communities, a cause that is very aligned with the PwC India Foundation’s objective. Over fifty families in the villages of Rajouri District are benefiting from this partnership. They are getting livestock in addition to needed resources for home renovations, which is crucial for re-establishing these families’ financial security and guaranteeing them long-term employment prospects.
A major turning point in the programme’s development was recently reached when Amitabh Shah, the founder and chief inspiration officer of Yuva Unstoppable, and Jaivir Singh, vice chairman of the PwC India Foundation, visited the site. According to Jaivir Singh, Vice Chairman of the PwC India Foundation, “Our initiative in Jammu and Kashmir with Yuva Unstoppable aims to bring immediate and sustainable relief, aligning with our broader vision to serve marginalised communities and where private sector CSR funding has had limited reach.” “We are committed to providing essential aid to those who need it the most by focusing on structurally damaged homes and lost livelihoods,” he continued.
“Working together with the PwC India Foundation enables us to reach a wider audience and provide assistance to underserved communities,” stated Amitabh Shah, Yuva Unstoppable’s founder and chief inspiration officer. “Our efforts help families move towards economic self-sufficiency and stability by addressing critical housing needs and reviving vital income streams by replacing livestock.” The collaboration brings together complementary strengths—the PwC India Foundation’s focus on high-quality social impact and Yuva Unstoppable’s on-ground implementation expertise. The programme will follow a phased approach over the next three months, which will involve home assessments, prompt delivery of repair supplies and livestock replacement, and collaboration with local merchants and partners in difficult-to-reach border districts.
The PwC India Foundation is committed to building resilience and making a constructive impact on underserved areas. The Foundation does this by consistently transforming intent into impact through interventions which focus on communities that are most vulnerable. This initiative demonstrates our dedication to bringing about change and offering hope by restoring essential infrastructure and livelihoods.
