The Rajasthan government is strengthening its efforts to improve infrastructure in government schools through corporate social responsibility (CSR), with Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) and Honda Motors Limited discussing plans to support schools across the state.
The discussions took place at the Government Secretariat during a meeting chaired by Rajesh Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary of the School Education Department. The meeting focused on ongoing development projects, new infrastructure work and continued corporate support for schools.

CFCL to Support Around 35 More Schools
CFCL is expected to undertake infrastructure development work in around 35 government schools within its area of operation. The proposed projects aim to address the specific needs of individual schools and improve basic facilities for students.
The company also presented a progress report on development work already underway in 57 government schools. The review will help the department and CFCL coordinate existing projects and plan further improvements.
Honda Plans Support for 12 Schools
The department also discussed infrastructure development with Honda Motors Limited for 12 government schools in Khairthal-Tijara district. The proposed CSR projects aim to strengthen basic facilities and improve the learning environment for students.
These partnerships are part of Rajasthan’s wider efforts to involve private companies in improving public education and addressing infrastructure gaps in government schools.
Focus on Long-Term Support
The meeting also highlighted the need for companies to continue supporting schools after construction and development work is completed. Officials and company representatives discussed the possibility of providing assistance for recurring expenses alongside infrastructure development.Such support could help schools maintain their facilities and ensure that students continue to benefit from CSR-funded projects over time.
Rajesh Yadav stressed the importance of regular coordination between the department and corporate partners. He also emphasised that CSR projects should be planned according to the specific needs of individual schools rather than following the same approach everywhere.
Gyan Sankalp to Support Education Initiatives
Rajasthan’s Gyan Sankalp initiative provides a platform for companies and donors to contribute to government schools through customised CSR projects. It also supports the monitoring of project implementation and impact.
With CFCL’s ongoing work in 57 schools, proposed projects in around 35 more schools and Honda’s planned support for 12 schools, the state aims to expand corporate participation in public education.
The focus on continued assistance reflects the government’s effort to ensure that CSR partnerships deliver lasting benefits and help create better learning environments for students across Rajasthan.
