The Rajasthan government has launched a new water conservation campaign aimed at boosting groundwater levels by encouraging Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) participation.
The initiative focuses on building structures such as check dams, ponds, and recharge systems to improve groundwater availability, especially in water-scarce regions. Authorities are inviting companies to invest their CSR funds in these projects to strengthen long-term water sustainability.
The campaign highlights the urgent need for action, as many parts of the state are facing serious groundwater depletion. By combining government efforts with private sector support, the initiative aims to create a large-scale impact.
Officials emphasized that community participation and corporate involvement are key to making the campaign successful. The broader goal is to ensure water security, support agriculture, and improve livelihoods in drought-prone areas.
