Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School in Taoru, along with nine other schools, participated in a massive tree planting initiative organised by Signature Global Foundation under the name “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”.
The Foundation has committed to planting 25,000 trees as part of this project, reaffirming its goal of making the environment safer, cleaner, and greener for coming generations.
The program’s main goal was to teach kids about environmental preservation and motivate them to become responsible adults in the future. The drive attracted a sizable number of students, instructors, locals, and environmental activists. Together, they planted saplings and made a commitment to care for them. “In our previous initiative, we witnessed how the participation of communities, eminent personalities, and youth transformed ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ into an emotional mass movement,” said Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman of Signature Global Foundation, in a statement marking the occasion. We have been further inspired by the excitement displayed by the kids in Taoru and surrounding schools. On birthdays, anniversaries, or any other special occasion, I think planting a tree can result in positive change. The battle against global warming can really pick up steam if we all work together.
“The recent extreme pollution levels in Delhi-NCR have demonstrated that we require answers rather than complaints, and trees are the most straightforward, practical, and sustainable solution. Our goal is to increase green spaces and address the underlying causes of this issue. He went on to say, “The Signature Global Foundation has set a target of planting over 100,000 trees.”
Along with around 100 students from Amity University Haryana, Mataji Smt. Geeta Aggarwal, Co-Founder & Managing Director Ravi Aggarwal, and Director Nikhil Aggarwal actively participated in the programme.
In addition, locals, parents, school officials, and employees of the Signature Global Foundation participated in the plantation drive.
