Adani Power Limited’s CSR wing organised a unique healthcare outreach programme as part of its continuous community development initiatives to guarantee that families in Yelluru and Mudarangadi gramme panchayats have access to high-quality medical care. The programme, which was fully supported by the Adani Foundation at a project cost of Rs 65 lakh, involved distributing Adani Aarogya Cards and health insurance policies to the villagers once the annual insurance policy was renewed. The health insurance cards were given to the presidents and members of both panchayats by Kishore Alva, ED and president of the Adani Group, during the official ceremony. Comprehensive health benefits, such as cashless treatment, hospitalisation assistance, and emergency medical care at private hospitals, are provided by the updated policy.
Alva emphasised that all homes in Yelluru and Mudarangadi have been receiving medical insurance benefits from the foundation since 2015, with an annual premium contribution of Rs 65 lakh. He went on to say that each family in both panchayats is covered by the Adani Aarogya Card, which guarantees a value of Rs 50,000 per family. Currently, the policy benefits about 9,600 people, with a total insured amount of Rs 118,550,000. Alva also emphasised the crucial role played by the foundation’s Mobile Health Internal Care Unit, which provides cashless consultations, medications, and preventative healthcare services at rural households’ doorsteps in 13 nearby communities.
