YES Foundation, the social development arm of YES BANK, has launched its first YES Sashakt Kendra in Sagwara, Dungarpur district, Rajasthan, to improve livelihood opportunities for tribal youth and women through skill development, vocational training and employment support.
The centre was inaugurated by Shri Babulal Kharadi, Rajasthan’s Minister for Tribal Area Development, along with Smt Asha Patidar, Chairman of Sagwara Nagar Palika, and Shri Yogesh Jain, Vice Chairman of Sagwara Nagar Palika. Garima Dutt, CEO of YES Foundation, and senior officials from partner organisations also attended the event.
The new centre is part of YES Foundation’s flagship rural livelihood programme, YES Sashakt. It aims to help local communities gain practical skills, start small businesses and access better employment opportunities. The initiative seeks to strengthen the local economy and promote long-term, sustainable livelihoods.

The YES Sashakt Kendra will offer market-linked vocational training, digital and service-sector skills, financial literacy, life skills and career counselling. Participants will also receive entrepreneurship guidance and placement assistance to help them find jobs or establish their own ventures.
Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Babulal Kharadi said, “Empowering tribal communities through skill development is key to building sustainable livelihoods and strengthening the local economy.” He added that the partnership between YES Foundation and BharatCares would create opportunities for people in Dungarpur to build better futures for themselves and their families.
Garima Dutt, CEO of YES Foundation, said the centre would bring skill development and livelihood opportunities closer to local communities. She emphasised that access to the right skills, knowledge and employment opportunities could help young people and women contribute more effectively to the local economy and achieve greater financial security.
Over the next four years, YES Sashakt will focus on farm-based livelihoods, small-scale and group-based enterprises, employability training and financial literacy. The programme will combine agriculture and allied activities with non-farm businesses and job-oriented training suited to local needs.
The launch marks an important step in YES Foundation’s efforts to expand rural livelihood support in Rajasthan. By connecting training with career guidance, entrepreneurship support and placement assistance, the initiative aims to help tribal youth and women build sustainable incomes and improve their quality of life.
