In keeping with its mission to promote digital inclusion and technology-enabled education, Zeta, a provider of next-generation banking technology, today opened its second computer lab at Cheemasandra Government School on Children’s Day. The project is to improve access to digital education in government schools and fortify digital learning infrastructure. It is being carried out in partnership with Project Shiksha, an NGO committed to closing educational gaps.
Within a year, the initiative aims to provide more than 300 upper primary pupils with structured computer education and digital learning resources, assisting them in developing critical digital skills at a young age. The lab has modern classroom equipment, computer systems, and fast internet access. Its curriculum helps students get familiar with technology and use these abilities in their daily learning by covering topics like coding basics, digital literacy (including internet safety and e-waste management), STEM-based projects, and AI and cybersecurity awareness. “Projects like Project Shiksha enable us to extend the benefits of technology beyond business, and digital inclusion is a key enabler of progress,” stated Shubhayu Sengupta, Chief People Officer at Zeta. “We hope to make a lasting impact and help students acquire the skills they will need for a digital future by investing in digital learning infrastructure at the local level.” Every digital lab we construct at Project Shiksha is a step in the direction of educational equality. We are opening digital doors for kids who deserve the same opportunities as any other learner worldwide thanks to our ongoing collaboration with Zeta. Neha Chawla, Founder & Director of Project Shiksha, stated, “With this initiative, we hope to develop the digital literacy narrative for the last mile, making sure that technology becomes a bridge, not a barrier, to education.”
Zeta intends to build one computer lab annually as part of its continuous commitment, giving more government schools access to digital learning and empowering students to take an active role in India’s developing digital economy.
