The ultimate finals of SUN PRISM 2025, its premier B-school case competition that promotes creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving, were completed by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (Sun Pharma).
Earlier this year, SUN PRISM (Pharma Reimagined: Innovation, Strategy & Marketing) was introduced to attract top MBA students from India’s best management schools and provide them a chance to tackle practical marketing problems in the pharmaceutical sector. With 2,100 entries from more than 6,400 students from more than 20 prestigious B-schools, PRISM had a tremendous response in its inaugural season. Eight teams, each with 24 players, went through several competition stages to reach the Grand Finale.
“Through SUN PRISM, we are giving B-school students an opportunity to work on real business challenges and experience how decision-making unfolds in a fast-evolving global industry like pharmaceuticals,” stated Suresh Rai, CHRO, Sun Pharma. Additionally, it enables us to spot high-potential people early in their careers and establish a connection with them. This platform’s primary goal is to encourage the future generation to think creatively, boldly, and innovatively in the healthcare industry.
First-year MBA students compete in Track 1, whereas second-year MBA students compete in Track 2. The teams from Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay, Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi and Kolkata, and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, presented to a jury made up of Sun Pharma executives in the exciting finale that took place in Mumbai. Following a rigorous review, Team Valour from XIM and Team Out Thinkers from IIFT Kolkata won under Track 2, while Team Zenith from NMIMS and Team Placebo from SJMSOM, IIT Bombay were honoured under Track 1. XIM’s Team Nash Equilibrium received a special jury award for their creative concepts. Certificates and prizes were given to the winning teams. To choose winners who demonstrated proficiency in team presentations, Sun Pharma will offer individual Pre-Placement Interview (PPI) possibilities.
By giving up-and-coming executives practical experience and worthwhile career-building opportunities, the programme demonstrates Sun Pharma’s dedication to developing talent and enhancing academia-industry partnership.
