Lighthouse Communities Foundation to List on BSE Social Stock Exchange

Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF), a non-profit working to help underserved youth find sustainable livelihoods, is set to list on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s Social Stock Exchange (SSE). The public issue, which opened on September 30, 2026, will remain open until October 14, 2026, with funds aimed at expanding its youth livelihood programme in Pune.

The listing will raise funds through Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) instruments, which are designed for eligible non-profit organisations on the SEBI-regulated Social Stock Exchange. The move comes after a May 27, 2026 amendment by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs allowed companies to meet their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations by subscribing to ZCZP instruments issued by SSE-listed non-profits.

  • LCF is seeking to raise funds through its SSE listing to expand its livelihood programme.
  • The funds will support career counselling, vocational training, employer partnerships and long-term tracking of young people’s employment outcomes.
  • The immediate expansion will focus on Pune, while LCF operates across six states — Delhi, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
  • The public issue opened on September 30 and will close on October 14, 2026.
  • The initiative is being led by Lighthouse Communities Foundation, which has helped more than 50,000 young people access livelihood opportunities over the past decade.
  • LCF provides career guidance and allows young people to choose from 80 vocational courses through more than 100 partner organisations. The courses cover sectors such as manufacturing, BFSI, fashion design, hospitality, beauty services, electrical work, accounting and fitness.

The organisation currently runs 51 centres. Women make up nearly 60% of programme enrolments, while 77% of placed youth remain employed one year after placement. LCF also says two-thirds of graduates find their own job leads after completing the programme.

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Founder and Chairman of LCF, said the listing would strengthen the organisation’s ability to build a stronger livelihood ecosystem while maintaining transparency and accountability.

He added that the listing is “not a fundraising event” but a commitment to transparency and an opportunity for institutional donors, impact investors and CSR partners to examine the organisation’s work and results.
