The hackathon and codethon are also expected to help students gain practical experience and better understand how emerging technologies can be applied beyond the classroom. The initiative will give them a platform to experiment with ideas, work on challenges and strengthen their technical and collaborative skills.
The event comes at a time when AI is playing an increasingly important role across industries, creating a growing demand for professionals who can apply technology responsibly and effectively. By encouraging students to explore new ideas, the university aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The organisers said TEJAS 2026 would help students become industry-ready professionals and responsible innovators capable of contributing to a smarter, more inclusive and sustainable future.
