The company’s initiatives focus on education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, environmental protection and village infrastructure, benefiting thousands of people since 2015.
RSPL Group’s Soda Ash business is expanding its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across coastal Gujarat to improve the lives of local communities. Since 2015, the company has invested in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, environmental sustainability and village infrastructure to support local development.
The initiatives aim to complement the development priorities of the Gujarat and central governments, while contributing to national goals such as Viksit Bharat 2047, Digital India, Skill India and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Education and Women’s Empowerment
Education remains a key focus of the company’s CSR programmes. RSPL Group has reached more than 25,000 students across 35 government schools in 12 villages. Its efforts include improving classrooms, providing drinking water and sanitation facilities, and distributing school bags, notebooks and other learning materials.
Through its ‘Prerna’ initiative, the company recognises students who secure the first three ranks in school examinations. The programme encourages academic performance, regular attendance and girls’ education. The RSPL Welfare Foundation also runs Laxmi Devi Dayal Das Academy, an English-medium school up to Class 10.
To improve digital skills and employment opportunities, the foundation has provided certificate-based computer training to more than 70 girls and women. It also supports talented athletes, including national-level volleyball player Hetal Ben, with training, nutrition and travel expenses.
Healthcare and Village Development
Healthcare programmes include a 24-hour Occupational Health Centre serving nearby villages around the Kuranga Soda Ash plant. The centre benefited more than 6,750 patients in FY2025–26. Health camps organised with Madhav Hospital have reached approximately 7,000 beneficiaries across 12 villages since 2022.
RSPL has also supported healthcare facilities through an oxygen tank, a mini ambulance and an ICU on Wheels. The company received a Certificate of Appreciation at the Gujarat First Health Conclave 2026.
Other projects include community halls in Gojines and Batdiya, mangrove plantations across 50 hectares in Bharuch district, and pond rejuvenation in five villages under Mission Amrit Sarovar. Sanitation projects have also supported the construction of public and household toilets.
Commitment to Sustainable Growth
Mr. Tinku Chhabra, CEO of RSPL’s Soda Ash Business, said, “We believe that sustainable industrial growth must go hand in hand with community development.”
He added that the company aims to create lasting social value through continued investment in education, healthcare, digital literacy and community infrastructure.
Through these efforts, RSPL Group seeks to support local needs while contributing to Gujarat’s economic growth and India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 CSR initiatives.
