BASF Kids’ Lab brings hands-on chemistry and climate lessons to Hyderabad schoolchildren

BASF, in collaboration with CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), is hosting the BASF Kids’ Lab in Hyderabad from 26 to 31 October 2026. The interactive program is designed for children aged 8 to 12 and aims to spark curiosity in chemistry while raising awareness of climate action and environmental protection. The Hyderabad edition is expected to engage 1,150 children from municipal schools.

What the Kids’ Lab is

The BASF Kids’ Lab is an interactive chemistry education initiative built around hands-on experiments and interactive modules. In Hyderabad, the sessions focus on sustainability and climate action awareness. The program aims to help children see how chemistry relates to protecting the environment.
