Ambuja Foundation opens security guard skill academy

Ambuja Foundation, in collaboration with Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation, has launched a Security Guard Skill Academy in Chirawa, Rajasthan. It builds on a guard training program that has run at the Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) in Chirawa since 2021. That program has trained more than 600 young men and women, with a reported placement rate of 94%.

Where the academy is and who it will train

The academy is located near Chirawa Railway Station in Jhunjhunu district. It will provide vocational training to youth from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. The initiative also draws on Chirawa’s long association with military service.

What the academy will teach

Training will cover unarmed security services. The academy also plans to introduce a Fire and Safety course, to prepare candidates for a wider range of jobs. Its curriculum is expanded and delivered by experienced trainers, with a focus on certified vocational training and on increasing opportunities for women.
