Brother International India has renewed its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership with Mahesh Foundation for the financial year 2026-27, continuing its education support for 400 underprivileged children in Belagavi. The partnership aims to improve access to education, healthcare and other resources needed for the children’s overall development.
The renewal was marked by a ceremony at Mahesh Foundation in Belagavi on September 7. This is the third year of the partnership, through which Brother India is supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds and helping them access better learning opportunities.
Mahesh Foundation has been working for the past 18 years with HIV-positive and underprivileged children. Its Care Home provides shelter, nutrition, healthcare and education, while its Community Support programme works with families affected by HIV.
According to the organisation, its programmes have reached around 90,000 socially disadvantaged families, supported the education of 72,000 underprivileged children, and directly benefited more than 4,900 children through its Care Home.
Speaking about the partnership, Alok Nigam, Managing Director, Brother International (India) Private Limited, said, “It is always inspiring to see the meaningful work being done by Mahesh Foundation under the leadership of Mahesh Ji, with the dedicated efforts of the teachers and team. We are happy to continue supporting this noble cause and contribute towards providing greater opportunities to children in need.”
Nigam also highlighted the Foundation’s Mobile Computer Lab, which brings computer education to children who may not have access to computers at their schools.
Mahesh Jadhav, Founder, Mahesh Foundation, said the partnership was special because the support directly benefits children. He also pointed to the achievement of Utkarsha School, where the first SSLC batch recorded a 100% result in the last academic year.
The renewed initiative focuses on improving educational opportunities for children from disadvantaged communities and is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
