In a significant move towards promoting sustainable development and social responsibility, Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha CSR Forum. The partnership aims to strengthen collaborative efforts in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, research, and community development across Odisha.
The agreement marks an important step in bringing together academia, industry, policymakers, and social organizations to address pressing social and environmental challenges. Through this collaboration, both institutions plan to create a platform that encourages innovation-driven solutions and impactful CSR initiatives for the betterment of society.
Under the MoU, IIT Bhubaneswar and the Odisha CSR Forum will jointly work on various programs related to sustainable development, environmental conservation, education, healthcare, rural upliftment, renewable energy, and social welfare. The collaboration is expected to facilitate research-based interventions and encourage knowledge sharing between experts, corporates, and development organizations.
Officials from IIT Bhubaneswar highlighted that the institute has been actively involved in promoting socially relevant research and outreach activities. The institution believes that technological innovation and academic expertise can play a transformative role in solving grassroots challenges. The MoU further seeks to encourage collaborative projects involving students, researchers, corporate entities, NGOs, and government agencies.
