In a significant step toward promoting women-led entrepreneurship, Xiaomi India has launched a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at supporting over 1,000 women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan. The program, titled “JeevikaSaathi+,” focuses on empowering women through skill development, digital training, and business support, enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative is designed to strengthen women’s participation in economic activities, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. It aims to provide structured support to women associated with self-help groups and small enterprises, helping them expand their businesses and improve income generation opportunities. By combining training with access to resources, the program seeks to create long-term economic independence for participants.
Under JeevikaSaathi+, around 250 women-led enterprises will receive focused assistance to scale their operations. This includes guidance on business planning, financial literacy, and market access. The initiative also integrates digital learning modules, ensuring that participants can adapt to modern tools and platforms, which are increasingly essential for business growth.
A key aspect of the program is its emphasis on digital empowerment. Women entrepreneurs will be trained in using smartphones, online platforms, and digital payment systems to manage and grow their ventures more efficiently. This digital inclusion is expected to bridge the gap between traditional business practices and modern technology-driven markets, allowing women to reach a broader customer base.
The initiative aligns with broader national efforts to promote women’s entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. By supporting women at the grassroots level, the program not only contributes to individual income growth but also strengthens local economies. When women gain access to skills and resources, it often leads to improved living standards for families and communities as a whole.
Xiaomi India’s CSR efforts have increasingly focused on social impact areas such as education, healthcare, and livelihood development. With JeevikaSaathi+, the company is expanding its commitment to inclusive growth by addressing the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, including limited access to training, funding, and market opportunities.
The initiative is also expected to create a ripple effect by encouraging more women to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. As successful participants grow their businesses, they can inspire others in their communities to follow similar paths, thereby fostering a culture of self-reliance and innovation.
Overall, the JeevikaSaathi+ program represents a strategic effort to empower women economically while contributing to sustainable development goals. By combining skill-building, digital inclusion, and enterprise support, the initiative aims to unlock the potential of women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan and help them achieve long-term financial stability.
