Following the successful completion of Operation Sindoor, which destroyed terrorist infrastructure on the other side of the border, Jindal Steel workers have united in a sincere display of patriotism. Together, they have generated Rs 2 crore for the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund, which supports the welfare of soldiers and their families affected while doing their duties, by each paying one day’s salary. Chairman Naveen Jindal formally presented Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with the cheque, which symbolises this collective workforce commitment, in New Delhi recently.
“The real sentinels of our country are our military. We are all motivated by their bravery, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to defending India. Naveen Jindal stated, “This donation from the Jindal Steel family is a modest way to honour their service and to stand firmly with them and their loved ones.” This programme carries on Jindal Steel’s tradition of supporting the country at times of need. The company upgraded medical facilities, provided free oxygen to hospitals in Delhi, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh, distributed meals and PPE kits, donated Rs 25 crore to the PM-CARES Fund, and assisted women’s self-help groups in making over 100,000 protective masks during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Following the Uttarakhand (Kedarnath) catastrophe in 2013, the company promptly sent aid and necessary supplies to areas affected by the calamity. The Jindal Steel family demonstrates a shared commitment to help those who protect the country’s security and sovereignty by reaffirming their profound respect and thanks for India’s Armed Forces through this coordinated gesture.
