For the academic year 2024–2025, the Shriram Life Insurance Company has given scholarships to Telangana’s 119 assembly constituencies’ best 10th graders from government schools. Under the scholarship programme, the top three students at the state level would each earn Rs 1 lakh, while each constituency topper will receive a one-time grant of Rs 30,000.
It is anticipated that the scholarships will cover a portion of the students’ intermediate course costs.
The only state board schools that are eligible are those that are run by the government. The Telangana government’s Department of School Education is the source of the student list. Among the important dignitaries in attendance was D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs. The kids received their scholarship cheques from the minister. Attendees were Srinivas Reddy, Executive Director of Shriram Life; R. Duruvasan, Director of Shriram Life; and KRC Sekhar, MD, Shriram Life.
The company’s dedication to assisting the education of children from disadvantaged communities is shown in Shriram Life’s continuous CSR initiatives, which include this scholarship programme.
“The need for value-driven education has been emphasised by D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of IT, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs. He encouraged the students to cultivate their self-confidence and hone their job-market skills in order to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities that will arise in Telangana.”
“Our mission to serve the community is strongly aligned with this programme. We anticipate that more students will be inspired by this initiative and strive for greater success in their studies and general well-being,’ stated Casparus J.H. Kromhout, MD and CEO of Shriram Life Insurance.
