Mahindra University and Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) have partnered to open a Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre on campus. The Centre will concentrate on giving engineering students industry-ready skills in two verticals: advanced manufacturing (Industry 4.0 & IIoT) and firmware development, with support from Bajaj Auto’s flagship CSR program, “BEST”.
Along with faculty members and representatives from Bajaj Auto, Sudhakar Gudipati, Vice President, CSR, and Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, graced the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Bajaj Auto will be essential to the BEST Center’s development as a result of this partnership. Expert engineers at Bajaj Auto have created the BEST curriculum, which is in line with academic gaps and industrial demands. As part of their dedication to empowering young people and promoting engineering education, Bajaj Auto CSR will also fund the infrastructure and equipment needed for the two technology sectors.
Mahindra University Vice Chancellor Dr Yajulu Medury underlined, “We aim to ensure that students gain practical exposure to the technologies shaping the future with the evolving demands of diverse industries.” In order to ensure that academic learning stays closely aligned with changing industrial requirements, we are strengthening our relationship with industry partners. Through the BEST Centre, we will enhance the educational process while also bolstering the country’s skill ecosystem and making a substantial contribution to India’s rise as a global leader in technology.
It gives us great pleasure to sign the first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahindra University in Telangana to establish the Bajaj Engineering Skill Training (BEST) Centre. Firmware development and Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing will be the main areas of focus for this cutting-edge centre. “By incorporating an industry-focused curriculum into the standard B. Tech programme, students will graduate prepared for the workforce and able to find employment in key engineering sectors,” stated Sudhakar Gudipati, Vice President of Bajaj Auto Ltd.
Mahindra University’s BEST Centre would be the first private university in Telangana to conduct such an event. Additionally, it will provide short-term internship-based skill programmes that are in line with industry standards to final-year mobilised external engineering students.
The BEST Program seeks to improve the employability of engineering students throughout India by bridging the growing gap between academic learning and new industry demands.
