Recently, Angul Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, performed the Bhoomi pujan and laid the foundation stone for the Yashasvini Jindal Girls’ Hostel at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama S.T. Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Badarohila, Kishorenagar, as part of the Jindal Foundation’s efforts to promote inclusive development and support the education of tribal girls. The effort seeks to improve girls’ access to high-quality education in distant and tribal communities by offering a secure, nurturing, and supportive residential facility.
Shallu Jindal Ji underlined the transformational potential of education for young girls in her motivational speech to schoolchildren and community members, saying, “Education and empowerment of girls remain at the core of our CSR vision.” In addition to offering secure housing and academic support, I have no doubt that this hostel will help them reach their greatest potential and make significant contributions to society. He expressed gratitude to Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama’s administration for their efforts to educate girls in outlying locations.
The school’s residential facilities will be greatly improved by the new hostel, which is anticipated to be finished in six months and will house 330 female students. It is anticipated that the new facilities will alleviate the current housing scarcity and give students a caring, safe, and secure environment, enhancing their access to high-quality education. Ananta Shasini, the founder of the Ramakrishna Ashrama, gave a hearty welcome before Mr Prashanta Hota, president of Jindal Steel, gave an opening speech. “At Jindal Foundation, we always believe sustainable development begins with equal access to education, especially for girls,” Hota stated, highlighting the visionary leadership of Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel, and the crucial work of Ms Shallu Jindal, Chairperson, Jindal Foundation. This hostel demonstrates our long-term dedication to inclusive and sustainable community development and is an essential component of our education-focused CSR initiatives.
The laying of the Adhar Shila and Purnahuti were among the customary worship and rites performed at the ceremony. Community leaders, local stakeholders, Guruji Srimad Bansidhar Balaram Dash, Rishi Pathania, Head of CSR at Jindal Steel, Jayanta Kumar Mohanty, HoD-CSR (Angul), Seshadev Shasini, the school’s founder, Ananta Shasini, co-founder, and other authorities were present.

Through programmes including after-school education, the YASHASVI scholarship for women and girls, the O.P.
