In a move aimed at strengthening STEM education and innovation among school students, realme India has announced a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaboration with iHub AWaDH to establish six advanced tinkering laboratories across selected schools in India.
The initiative is designed to promote hands-on learning and nurture creativity, problem-solving skills, and scientific thinking among young learners. These labs will be equipped with modern technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, electronics, and cyber-physical systems, enabling students to gain practical exposure to emerging tech domains.
iHub AWaDH, based at IIT Ropar, will provide technical mentorship and structured guidance to ensure effective implementation and utilization of these labs. The programme draws inspiration from the Atal Innovation Mission framework, focusing on experiential learning and innovation-driven education.
According to realme, the initiative aligns with its broader vision of empowering youth through technology and building a future-ready workforce. By introducing students to real-world applications of advanced technologies at an early stage, the company aims to cultivate the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
Experts highlight that India continues to face a significant skills gap, particularly in advanced technologies, with only a fraction of youth receiving adequate training. This collaboration seeks to bridge that gap by creating a pipeline from school-level innovation to higher-level technical skill development.
Overall, the programme is expected to contribute to national goals such as Digital India, Skill India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat by fostering innovation, employability, and technological readiness among students.
