The Haryana government, in partnership with CSRBOX, organised the Haryana CSR RoundTable 2026 to encourage stronger collaboration between corporates, academic institutions, and government agencies for improving technical education, digital learning, and skill development in the State. The event was held in Gurugram and focused on preparing Haryana’s youth for future employment opportunities through coordinated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The roundtable brought together nearly 30 representatives from corporate organisations, educational institutions, and development sectors to discuss ways to strengthen workforce readiness and create sustainable skilling programmes. The discussions centred on aligning CSR investments with the Haryana government’s long-term development priorities, particularly in education, internships, digital learning, and youth empowerment.
The event was attended by Dr. Raj Nehru, Officer on Special Duty to the Haryana Chief Minister and Director General of the Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of community-focused development and encouraged companies to actively support government initiatives in areas such as technical training, water conservation, pollution control, and youth internships. He highlighted that meaningful partnerships between governments and corporates can create large-scale and lasting social impact.
Participants also discussed the broader goals of Vision Haryana 2047 and the national Viksit Bharat mission. The meeting explored how CSR-driven collaborations can support sectors such as education, healthcare, sports, livelihoods, and digital transformation. Officials stressed that industry participation is essential for building a future-ready workforce and ensuring that students gain practical skills that match evolving industry requirements.
Corporate representatives shared details of their ongoing CSR activities in Haryana, especially projects aimed at improving opportunities in rural and semi-urban areas. Many participants noted that companies are increasingly willing to invest in skill development and technical education beyond major industrial hubs. They also called for stronger coordination with government departments to ensure that CSR initiatives become more effective, scalable, and sustainable over the long term.
The initiative reflects Haryana’s continuing focus on industry-linked education and workforce training. Similar efforts in the past have involved partnerships between the Department of Technical Education and private companies to establish centres of excellence in polytechnic institutes and engineering colleges using CSR funds. These programmes have helped improve technical training, soft skills development, and placement opportunities for students across the State.
Officials believe that integrating corporate expertise with government policies can improve the quality of education and enhance employability among young people. The State is also encouraging more organisations to contribute towards training infrastructure, digital learning systems, and industry-oriented programmes that can better prepare students for future careers.
The roundtable concluded with a shared commitment from the government, corporates, and stakeholders to build long-term partnerships for creating an inclusive, skilled, and digitally empowered Haryana.
