Eighteen organisations came together at the 19th edition of Embassy Engage to explore how they can work together on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in education, health, environment and skilling. The roundtable, organised by Embassy Group in collaboration with Dhwani Foundation, focused on turning discussions into possible joint action over the next six months.
Held in Mumbai under the theme “From Interest to Action,” the session aimed to move CSR conversations beyond individual programmes and towards partnerships that address shared social priorities. Participants discussed how their knowledge, resources and expertise could be combined to create wider community impact.
The roundtable included case studies on “Collaboration in Practice” and “Lived Experience,” followed by interactive discussions on the factors needed to make partnerships effective. Participants also examined ways to align their CSR efforts with government development priorities and identify areas where organisations working on similar issues could coordinate.
Breakout discussions were held across four key areas — education, health, environment and skilling. Organisations shared their existing initiatives and explored how their capabilities could complement each other. The discussions concluded with an intent to explore and develop a joint project during the next six months.

The initiative is also expected to lead to further discussions on potential anchor programmes in areas of common interest. Future sessions will examine implementation models, contribution structures, governance mechanisms, programme management and impact reporting.
Dhwani Foundation brings experience of working with grassroots NGOs, donors, CSR partners, government bodies and sector networks. Its work includes strengthening organisational capacity among grassroots organisations and supporting the wider social sector.
Embassy Engage is designed to bring organisations and stakeholders together to discuss community priorities, exchange experiences and identify opportunities for cooperation. The participating organisations will now explore how their discussions can develop into a joint CSR project over the coming six months.
