The BC Jindal Foundation, the social responsibility arm of the BC Jindal Group, has announced a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outlay of ₹43 crore for the financial year 2026-27. The investment will support a wide range of development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of underserved communities across multiple states in India. The foundation’s programmes will focus on healthcare, education, skill development, nutrition, animal welfare, and community infrastructure, with an estimated direct impact on nearly three lakh beneficiaries.
According to the foundation, the CSR initiatives will be implemented across Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana, Odisha, and Maharashtra. The organisation plans to strengthen its presence in these regions through projects that address critical social and economic challenges while promoting sustainable and inclusive growth. The programmes are aligned with national development priorities and broader sustainability goals.
Healthcare has emerged as the largest area of investment in the FY27 CSR budget. The foundation has earmarked ₹16 crore to improve access to affordable and quality medical services. These initiatives are expected to benefit around two lakh people through healthcare outreach, treatment support, and improved medical infrastructure. The increased allocation reflects the organisation’s commitment to addressing healthcare gaps in communities where access to essential services remains limited.
Skill development is another major focus area, with ₹5 crore allocated to programmes designed to enhance employability among youth. The foundation aims to provide vocational and livelihood-oriented training that equips participants with industry-relevant skills. Previous initiatives have reportedly achieved strong placement outcomes, helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds secure employment in high-demand sectors.
The CSR budget also includes ₹7 crore for community infrastructure and development projects that will improve local facilities and public resources. In addition, ₹8 crore has been set aside for nutrition programmes intended to support vulnerable groups and address issues related to malnutrition and food security. These interventions are expected to contribute to better health outcomes and overall community well-being.
Education remains a key pillar of the foundation’s social initiatives. An allocation of ₹4 crore will support educational programmes benefiting thousands of children. The efforts are aimed at improving learning opportunities, strengthening educational resources, and creating a more supportive environment for students from underserved communities.
The foundation has also committed ₹3 crore towards animal welfare initiatives, reflecting a broader approach to community development that includes care and support for animals. These programmes are expected to complement the organisation’s wider sustainability and social responsibility agenda.
A spokesperson for the BC Jindal Group stated that the foundation’s CSR activities demonstrate its long-term commitment to sustainable development and social impact. Through these investments, the organisation aims to contribute meaningfully to community welfare while supporting India’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
