Jindal Foundation observed Seva Diwas on the birthday of its Chairperson, Shallu Jindal, with outreach programmes for children, senior citizens, women and young sportspersons. The activities took place across orphanages, old-age homes, villages and special care institutions.
At old-age homes, senior citizens sang devotional bhajans and offered their blessings to the Chairperson. Children at children’s homes made rangoli, danced, sang and prayed for her good health and long life. Residents thanked the Foundation for its continued support and for the time its team members spent with them.

The health and welfare component covered Ayurveda and geriatric health camps for elderly residents, along with physiotherapy services, general medical check-ups and dry ration support. Adolescent girls attended menstrual health and hygiene awareness sessions, and girls from underprivileged families received sanitary napkins. Children and elderly residents were also served special lunches and hot meals.

In rural areas, women’s groups and village women came together for prayers, bhajan-kirtan and community celebrations. They thanked the Foundation for helping improve their livelihoods, and fruit packets and snacks were shared with everyone present.

The day also recognised young sporting talent. Under-14 football players from the Serenda and Bhadrasahi Gram Panchayats thanked the Foundation for its ongoing backing of grassroots football. Sports gear and jerseys were handed out to 85 players, and senior Foundation officials encouraged the young athletes and passed on the Chairperson’s good wishes.
The Foundation said the activities reflect its aim of an inclusive India in which vulnerable and underprivileged people can live with dignity.
