Le Passage to India (LPTI) celebrated World Tourism Day by organising a large-scale tree plantation drive as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Shaping Lives’. The company planted 250 trees in collaboration with Give Me Trees Trust, an organisation known for its afforestation efforts across India.
The plantation drive brought together employees from different parts of the organisation, who took part in planting saplings and supporting the company’s environmental efforts. The activity was held as part of LPTI’s wider commitment to sustainable growth and responsible tourism.
Choosing World Tourism Day for the initiative was significant for the company. LPTI said the activity reflects its belief that sustainable tourism must go hand in hand with protecting the natural environment that makes India an attractive destination for travellers.
The event also carried special importance as LPTI is celebrating its 25th foundation year. The company said the tree plantation drive was a way of giving back to the country and communities that have played an important role in its growth over the years.

He added that planting 250 trees with colleagues on World Tourism Day, during the company’s 25th year, was a fitting way to mark both milestones. He also reaffirmed LPTI’s commitment to supporting communities and contributing to the country through its ‘Shaping Lives’ initiative.
Through ‘Shaping Lives’, LPTI focuses on community welfare, environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The company said its partnership with Give Me Trees Trust brought additional expertise to the plantation effort.
