Youth4Impact, a youth leadership programme supported by Reliance Foundation and Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), has started its Bengaluru rollout with 600 students, as part of a larger plan to engage more than 3,600 college students across seven Indian cities.
The Bengaluru programme began on September 23 at PES University and is being implemented by Jagriti Yatra and AIESEC in India. The initiative is open to students aged 18 years and above and combines leadership development, expert-led learning and community volunteering.
The programme aims to help young people understand social challenges by taking learning beyond the classroom. Through direct community engagement, students will have opportunities to develop empathy, teamwork, responsibility and leadership skills. The experience is designed to prepare participants for future roles as professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, public servants and business leaders.
Youth4Impact will focus on four areas of engagement: education, career readiness, environmental action and special-care communities. Through these activities, students will gain practical exposure while contributing to community-focused initiatives.
Speaking about the programme, Chinmay Vadnere, COO, Jagriti Yatra, said, “Jagriti has always believed that young people discover their potential when they step beyond the familiar and experience the India they have not yet seen. Youth4Impact takes this belief to thousands of young people, combining knowledge and skills with perspective, empathy and real-world community experience.”
Following Bengaluru, Youth4Impact will expand to Pune, Kolkata, Surat, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Delhi. Students who complete the programme will also have access to internship opportunities.
As part of the initiative, 20 participants who demonstrate outstanding leadership will get an opportunity to join Jagriti Yatra 2026. They will gain exposure to leaders, institutions and ideas from across India through the experiential learning journey.
The programme is supported by Reliance Foundation and RCPL, while Jagriti Yatra and AIESEC in India are responsible for implementation. Through leadership learning and community participation, Youth4Impact seeks to help young people build practical skills and develop a deeper understanding of the communities around them.
