BC Jindal Foundation, the CSR arm of the BC Jindal Group, has introduced a Sunday Clinic at Meena Devi Jindal Medical Institute & Research Centre (MDJ), offering free outpatient consultations every Sunday across different medical specialties. The clinic is meant for people who find it hard to seek care during working hours, including daily wage earners, working families, students and senior citizens.
The program is designed for people who cannot easily take time off for a doctor’s visit on a working day. By holding free consultations on Sundays, the foundation aims to make specialist healthcare more accessible to underserved communities, so people can seek medical attention without giving up their daily responsibilities.
Through Sunday Clinic, MDJ aims to reach 2 lakh vulnerable individuals by expanding access to specialist consultations and essential diagnostic services.
About MDJ
Since its establishment in 1981, MDJ has grown from a local charitable dispensary into a multi-specialty charitable polyclinic network. It has conducted more than 18 lakh consultations to date and served nearly 1 lakh individuals in FY2025-26 alone, according to the foundation.
Funding track record
The initiative builds on the BC Jindal Group’s continued investment in community healthcare. Over the past five years, the group has contributed about ₹23 crore towards healthcare initiatives through its foundation.
Part of a wider CSR plan
The BC Jindal Group has planned a total CSR investment of ₹43 crore across India for FY2027, a figure it announced in June 2026. Through the foundation, it will focus on healthcare, skill development, animal welfare and nutrition, expanding ongoing initiatives and introducing new projects. It also plans to strengthen its CSR presence in Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana and Maharashtra.
