Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited (SEIL), part of Schneider Electric, has won the Excellence in Sustainability Award in the Manufacturing Corporate category at the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s 4th Annual Sustainability Symposium & Excellence Awards 2026. The company has also received the Golden Peacock Award 2026 for Excellence in Corporate Governance.
What the awards cover
The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) recognition covers SEIL’s performance across carbon management, circularity, biodiversity, water stewardship, social development and governance. The Golden Peacock Award recognizes the company’s focus on transparency, accountability, ethical business practices and responsible decision-making. SEIL describes the two recognitions as reflecting progress in decarbonization, operational efficiency and responsible business practices.
Emissions and energy

SEIL reports that it has achieved 100% renewable electricity adoption across its manufacturing facilities. The company says this comes from a combination of on-site renewable energy and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). It also reports an approximately 80% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions over the past three years, alongside targeted energy-efficiency measures. These include load optimization, power factor enhancement, occupancy-based controls and advanced energy monitoring. The announcement does not state the baseline year for the emissions reduction.
Decarbonization approach

A key focus of the company’s sustainability ambition is reducing the environmental impact of its operations while improving energy and resource efficiency. Its decarbonization approach covers life cycle carbon emissions and is supported by renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, digital monitoring, supplier engagement and investment in low-carbon technologies.
Suppliers and products
SEIL is also extending its sustainability work beyond its own operations. Through initiatives such as the Zero Carbon Project, it supports suppliers in reducing their carbon emissions. In parallel, the company is advancing the adoption of SF₆-free technologies, including pure air and vacuum insulation, aimed at reducing high-impact emissions across the electrical ecosystem.
Part of Schneider Electric’s wider aim
The company presents the two recognitions as strengthening its approach to sustainability across operations, products and the value chain. These efforts support Schneider Electric’s broader ambition to help customers, partners and communities accelerate their sustainability journeys while strengthening long-term business resilience. SEIL is part of Schneider Electric, which describes itself as a global energy technology leader.
