Aahwahan Foundation, with support from Tredence CSR, has launched Meethi Muskan to support senior citizens living in old age homes, beginning with 143 residents at Sri Chaithanya Old Age Home in J.P. Hagar, Bengaluru. The initiative focuses on improving elderly care through essential resources, healthcare and better living conditions.
The programme aims to address the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of senior citizens who require continued care and assistance. Support under Meethi Muskan includes food, healthcare, clothing, hygiene and improvements to living conditions, helping residents maintain dignity and a sense of belonging.
Speaking about the initiative, Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO and Founder of Aahwahan Foundation, said, “At Aahwahan Foundation, we believe that every senior citizen deserves to live with dignity, care and a sense of belonging. Through Meethi Muskan, our aim is not only to address essential needs but also to create an environment where elderly people feel valued, cared for and supported.”
The initiative has been introduced in Bengaluru as its first location and will extend to six adopted old age homes across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Gurgaon.
Through this programme, Aahwahan Foundation and Tredence CSR plan to provide continued support to elderly residents based on their needs.Pradhan added, “We are committed to taking this initiative to more cities across India and bringing meaningful smiles to the lives of senior citizens.”The programme combines essential assistance with attention to companionship, care and the overall wellbeing of elderly residents. It also aims to improve the conditions in participating homes and provide support to underserved communities.
Aahwahan Foundation plans to expand Meethi Muskan to additional cities and old age homes across India.
Through its partnership with Tredence CSR, the organisation seeks to reach more senior citizens and strengthen support systems that promote care, dignity and a better quality of life for the elderly.
